About Me

Andrew Hufton

Scientific editor, open science advocate

I currently work at Cell Press as the Editor-in-Chief of the data science journal, Patterns. Previously, I launched Scientific Data, and have worked at the Biotechnology Journal, Advanced Genetics, Molecular Systems Biology.

I am committed to promoting open science and believe we ultimately aid society at large by building a more fair and transparent research culture.

I live in Würzburg with my wife and a pair of turtle-shaped tables.
